Sorry I am a horrible blogger at the moment!
Keeping ya'll up to date,
June was an awesome month! Mitch's birthday was on the 1st! He had to work, but we celebrated when he got home later that night! We got him a bike! I am a pageant mom! ha ha! I entered Jacob into a baby contest again (for the 2nd year). He first was in the Orem Summerfest contest and didn't win anything (the Orem baby winners were related to those who are on the committee, RIGGED) Then it was the 4th of July baby contest which was held on the 18th of June. He won 2nd place in both age and costume. I was told after that in a meeting with the freedom festival board members, they were shown pictures of the winners and stated that Jacob should have won 1st in his age group, and they apologized... I told them it wasn't a big deal. It's just for fun! That being said, Jacob, Mitch, and I walked in both the children's parade on the 25th of June as well as the 4th of July parade in the Baby Contest group!!!! All 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners got to walk in the parade, and I must say our wagon looked better then all the others!!! At the children's parade, he got best children's float!!!! YA!!! This is a picture of him and his daddy walking down the route!
He was smiling, waving, and blowing kisses to everyone!!! SUPER ADORABLE! Jacob then got his picture taken by the daily harold! He was in the paper on June 26th! The Sunday edition! and his picture was the biggest of the 3 the paper published!
On Wednesday June 29th, I got LASIK!!! I got it for 4 reasons
1. So I can see without glasses
2. To help with my dyslexia
3. To help my eyes stop shaking.
4. To get rid of my migraines.
Some people say that lasik doesn't help with dyslexia, but it does! Before my procedure, I saw words, letters, and numbers backwards and upside down, with my glasses on, it included the reflection. This has gone on so long it's weird to actually see semi-normal. It was hard for me to study, but now that I only see letters and numbers backward, I can cope! More to come!
