Something to blog about

I finally have something to blog about... today i went to the RCA where mitchel is attending school. we had a BBQ. it was great. after we were done eating, they took us to a benched area where we were able to see what they do every day at school. it was a little nerve racking but it was a blast to watch. i took some pictures so that i could scrapbook them. mitchel is so hard working and determined everyday to do his best. i'm so glad i was able to watch him do what he loves! i'll try to post the pictures soon

4 months later

It's been four months since I've blogged. I'm such a horrible blogger. To update everyone Mitchel is in the RCA at UVU. He loves it. It scares me half to death. He will be done with his firefighting class in December. I can't wait. Then he will get a firefighting job.. (hopefully)......I'm 25 weeks pregnant. We are having a little boy in January. I have been on bed rest for 1 month for torn ligaments in my hip. I have to go everywhere in a wheelchair. It has been one BUMPY ride. Mitchel and I love playing Yahtzee on the wii. We play it almost every night. We were fortunate enough to go the the Sunday afternoon session of conference. It was so powerful. It was Mitchel's first time in the conference center since it had been built. He pushed me up and down hills in my wheelchair all over SLC. What a trooper.

What A Crazy Few Months

WOW it's been forever since I have blogged... The NEWEST news is that Mitch is going to start school on June 9Th..... YA that took way too long. He will be taking only 13 credits (between 2 classes). He is going to school to become a Fire Fighter Paramedic. By the end of the summer he will be a certified EMT. Which is cool. He just figured out what he wanted to major in. I am excited for him. He has to do a physical test on July 11th so he is starting to train for that by running 2 miles every night. Let me just make it clear that if I run with him I'd die. Well til Next time.

Long Time!

It's been along time since my last post. To keep everyone updated with our life we are doing fine. So nothing new. This past weekend, we traveled down to Cedar City to visit Mitch's family. It was okay. On Saturday, we drove down to St. George for his aunt Megan's wedding. It was so beautiful. She looked gorgeous. It was such a joy for us to go down and support her and Marty. They are such a cute couple. Sunday, we went down to Las Vegas to visit his Grandma. It was pretty fun. We shopped at Dollar Tree and went to a Buffet. the buffet was pretty good. Their was a huge variety of styles of food. I was mainly interested in the desserts!! I am not one who will experiment with food in Vegas. The last time I did that, I ended up eating squid. Not so pleasant. That is pretty much all that is new with us. Peace out!

THE DR. APPOINTMENT!

I went to the Doctor last thursday. I had to get a bunch of blood taken to run some tests. Let me tell you how bad it hurt to get so much blood taken out of you at once. Well I was at the doctor on thurday then they took 2 I said 2 little tubes of blood and I passed out. It was rediculous. They told me that I had to come back on friday to get the rest of the blood taken out. Oh GREAT more needles in my arm. I went back friday and they took out almost a quart of blood. I mean it was a quart with the 2 other tubes. Common I was already hurting from 2 tubes then they took 16 more. After the blood was gone, I had to go get an ultrasound. When you are not pregnant you have to drink a ton of water before you go so that they can see what they need to see. My appointment for that was at 4:00 p.m. I drank 32 oz. of water at 3 (they told me it had to be an hour before they could do anything.) 5:45 comes around and I am about to burst. I was about to explode at 5 and they told me that if I let to use the ladies room i'd have to reschedule. I held it and held it and the sound of the drinking fountain and kids screaming for their water didn't help one bit. So they call me back at 5:54 p.m. almost 3 hours after i drank 32oz of water. I get into the hospital gown and sat down on the bed. When i laid down, She got whatever she needed (the nasty smelling jelly) and started pushing on my stomach. I could tell she wasn't pushing very hard but with that much water in me, it felt like she was punching me in the stomach. Well I find out the results today or tomorrow. I failed to mention that I only have a total of 19 sists and 2 are larger that 5 cm.

Oh the JOY!

Mitch's back is BETTER!!!! Finally..... He has one more appointment with the chiropractor next week but then he is done. Our Settlement should start sometime soon. Mitch just has to fill out papers about what happened and who and what was damaged.... That may take awhile. Work is going okay I am beyond stressed but it's all good. I figured if I don't have a pile of Bills we are doing okay. Our bill pile is only 4 bills high. It's great. At first I thought we were going to be living on the street, but mitch sold his truck in December to his parents so now we have a little bit of money. We were saving up for a vacation that we would take in June but right now we won't be able to do anything for awhile. I made some cakes Baskin Robins and my dad bought one for my mom. It was the cutest one. I think that I can just stick with decorating and things like that to earn a little bit of money to pay the bills. Mitch applied for unemployment a couple days ago. He has a meeting with them tomorrow. I will let you know how that goes. I hope that he can get something. He is also wanting to go back to school. since he was Injured on the job, He can probably get some money to go through at least 3 semesters. That would be great. He will probably start a program at MATC to become an EMT! that would be cool but classes go from 5- 10 so i won't see him much for a couple of months. I am trying to figure out what to do. He has applied for jobs out of state but I don't want to move. I hope we don't. I have a Dr.'s appointment on thursday to figure out what to do about the problems I have been having and I hope I don't have to get surgery since we don't have insurance anymore. But I need to know Whats wrong with me. I have been in so much pain since the beginning of november but I am getting use to it. Goodness. Well that's all for now I hope this updated everyone.

Baskin Robins and Fam Update

I started working at baskin robins like three weeks ago.... I love ice cream. After three weeks, I found out that I can't scoop ice cream any longer. Not only am I completely sick of ice cream I may have to have surgery soon. More info to come. I know I know I would. It would happen to me. Well anyways enough about me, Mitchel's back is doing better. He is 80% healed he he whatever that means. I can now feel that little part of his back bone that was missing. oh great!!! Valentines day is coming up and I have no clue what to get Mitch... I was thinking a HAMMER cause he really wants this cool looking one. It's expensive though and we have NO money... Well if you have ideas let me know!

Why Some Guys DONT'T Get 2nd Dates

I read this article online somewhere and i thought is was so funny. I will put in my notes at a later date! he he probably tomorrow... Comment back and tell me if you thing it's totally true or not..... if you think it's not just say it is cause you actually know its true let's face it.

1. Going on a rant about a former significant other.
No good can come from talking about an ex-girlfriend on a first date. Saying something positive about an ex is threatening, and saying something negative is just plain annoying. My friend Leslie agrees: “My favorite annoying first date is the guy who spent the entire time describing in detail how nasty his ex was,” she said. “By the end of the date, he had pointed out the restaurant where she threw a drink at him and the street corner where she screamed at him about his lack of sexual prowess.” The first date is about the two of you getting to know each other. Bringing the ex into the conversation makes it seem like three’s a crowd.

2. Divulging too much personal information that’s not flattering.
Take a hint from comedian Chris Rock, whose dating advice goes something like this: When you first meet someone, you’re not you. You’re the ambassador of you. In other words, this is not the time for full disclosure. I went on a first date with a guy who told me that he takes antidepressants, that he tends to be a slob, and that his family doesn’t get along. “I’d really like to see you again,” he said, “but I think I should be upfront about who I am from the beginning.” Even worse are guys who reveal unflattering personal information without even realizing that the information isn’t flattering. “My dog is my life,” a guy told my friend Sherene on their first date. “I’ve had the dog since I was a kid,” he added shamelessly. “I live with my parents.” The information was bad, but the fact that he had no idea it was bad made it horrifying. Remember: This is a date, not a therapy session.

3. Making the date feel like a job interview.
Let’s face it: A first date is a job interview (for the position of significant other). But if a woman is going to put on a cute outfit and blow-dry her hair for you, try not to make her feel like she’s in the room with the head of human resources. She’d rather have a casual conversation than be subjected to obvious probes like, “How long has it been since your last relationship?” Just as bad are guys who try to suss out key information by dropping calculating questions into the conversation. My friend Sara found it particularly irritating when a guy tried to figure out her age by asking her opinion of the 1972 Olympics and then saying, “Oh, but you couldn’t possibly remember that” in a questioning tone.

4. Having too much attitude.
Laurie, a single woman in New York, was asked on a first date what TV shows she watches. When her date learned that she didn’t like the show Seinfeld, he didn’t believe her. Then he wouldn’t let it go for the entire meal. “He just couldn’t fathom my not liking that show,” Laurie explained. “It was as if I’d just said, ‘Yes, I live my life without consuming any liquids.’” Guys, if you want a second dinner, don’t spend the first one trying to convince your date that she’s not normal.

5. Admiring other women.
Most guys know better than to stare at other women while on a first date. But it’s just as exasperating if your date asks you what you thought of the latest blockbuster hit, and your response is to go on a tear about how beautiful Angelina Jolie’s lips are. If you think the woman sitting across from you is ever going to be secure enough to kiss you after that, think again.

Update on Mitchel's Back

I am still trying to figure out a way to get his x-ray on here. I am trying everything. I think that I'm going to have the hospital email it to me and then I will be able to show anyone that may be interested. I can't believe that it has been almost three months since his accident. We went to his chiropractor and he says that mitch is getting better but the process is going slower than normal. Its hard for me to know that Mitch is in constant pain and there is nothing that I can do about it. He keeps telling me that his back doesn't hurt but I can tell that it is killing him. Mitch wants to be tough and I can just tell by the way he looks at me while he says that. We are going to go in for another X-ray sometime soon to see his progress. I hope that he get s better soon. goodness it's been long enough

The Cake Smashing!

More Pictures for everyone to see.... oh what a great holiday that we had......... and the stressful Chirstmas is finally over..... We have been printing off pictures from our wedding and making posters of them and booklets.... We love this picture so much...... well I love this picture so much because this picture shows everyone that I WON!!!!! hehe and the cake was flying everywhere... hehehe. This is such a Great Picture.... Mitchel Loves this next picture because he finally got into the action.. and he wondered how he got frosting in his ear.....

If he didn't want cake in his ear, he shouldn't have moved his head (ha ha evil chuckle). Well some people wonder why most everyone smashes cake in eachothers faces on their first day of merriage... I have the perfect answer to that............ and i quote "With all the wedding planning stress, this is a great way to get all your stress out before your great first night together." Yep that is the truth. I love when I look back at this day and laugh at it because I totally remember winning. (eventhough it wasn't very long ago). This last picture is me after the fact when I knew I TOTALLY WON! Oh the Great and Glorious day... I got a handsome husband... I won in the fantastic Cake fight... Before I end this entry, I will tell you about the conversation right before this happened. We knew that this time was about to happen and I told him that I would do it nice for hime and not get it all over the place if he didn't smash it into my face....... He responded with ha ha you are going to get it good.... and that is why I won!!!! The End
